Upper, Mid and Lower Back Pain

Causes and Treatment

If you've not seen a Chiropractor before, you might be surprised to know that manual therapy can be the #1 recommended treatment for back pain. As a Chiropractor, we train in specific 'adjustments' and releases, that we use to restore normal function, movement and alignment to the spine. This has been found to be very effective at not just reliving pain, but resolving issues relating to the spine, muscles and nerves.

Back pain is often felt lower down your spine, although can be experienced on anywhere from between you shoulder to the bottom of your spine. Back pain can feel like it appears out of the blue, such as waking up with it. Although you may have some idea of what has set it off, issues in your spine can build up over a period of time. Common causes include:

  • Poor posture (particularly desk workers)

  • Injury (sudden or gradually from repetitive movements)

  • Sleeping Awkwardly (usually just the trigger from being immobile for a period of time)

This these things, plus many other factors, can lead to a combination of restriction, imbalances and misalignment in your spine that need correcting.

Spinal Pain

At your initial visit we will check through all these things and go through what treatment is recommended for you.

If you'd like to find out more and if this treatment is right for you, please get in touch, as we will be more than happy to go through it with you.
